It worked for some, but not for all. I actually started having the problem again myself out of the blue and I was extremely pissed.

I came across some information on the Google forums that indicated this might be a problem that was new in the latest version. I really hoped downgrading would fix the issue, but I couldn’t find version 0.9.3.3 anywhere on the web! After much searching, I was able to find the previous version stashed away in a far off corner of  my hard drive. I took the liberty of putting it on my downloads page for the benefit of everyone until Google finally fixes the problem hopefully in their next release. You can find it on the downloads page, towards the bottom.

Literally all you have to do to fix the problem is uninstall the new version, and install this one and you’re good to go! No more crashing every time it syncs. Oddly enough, the new version still works, just as long as you don’t have Outlook open. Either way, it’s unacceptable. See, Google Calendar Sync should just be something you set and forget – and now it is again. Maybe one day Magic Jack will be like that too.
