			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I promised a few people I&#8217;d put some hardware info about a real Mac on this thread, so I booted up Ubuntu 9.04 Jaunty on a relatively new Mac Pro and ran &#8220;lshw -html &gt; ~/file.html&#8221; and emailed it to myself. Then I piped the output of the system profiler utility to a text file. Why? Well, if you don&#8217;t have a Mac and you&#8217;re interested in taking an in-depth look at Mac hardware for any purpose, this will give you that opportunity. You may have to do some googling to get more detail on certain components but these files are all you really need.</p>
<p>I used files similar to these while I was selecting hardware for my system which I wanted to be compatible with OSX, Windows and Linux <img src='http://www.eloquentspace.net/blog/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
